So Tony Villarreal (our new Chapter adjutant) took the freshly painted Cadillac with him to a recent Colorado Springs Veterans Administration 2019 summer event that included a car show. Tony was there to do some CSO Outreach duty and they talked him into entering the Chapter's car into their car show. Our Cadillac won "Best In Show" against 150 other vehicles entered into the contest.
The summer of 2019 was a good year for Chapter entries. The Chapter did its annual booth at the El Paso County Fair. So, Sharon and Joe Bilodeau did their usual thing and decorated the Chapter's booth with the Fair's "Purple Heart" theme. The Fair's judges thought the booth looked so good it took home the First Place Ribbon.

DAV Chapters 26 and 50 did a joint fundraiser at the Golden Corral. The picture at left shows some of the prizes that could be won.
Commander Tony and Member Greg presented Veteran Sam (age 72) with an electric chair to get around on at his home in Sugar City, CO. Sam is working with DAV26 to increase his VA benefits.
